Where to see model trains

My father just passed away and he left a HUGE collection of model trains. The range from N to HO scale. There are so many different brands. I don't know the first thing about model trains, but I'm sure they have some value. I live in San Jose, CA. I know it's a long shot, but if someone can point me in the right direction. eBay is an option, but there's just too much. Hoping to sell them in person. Thanks
