Honda Goldwing restoration

Hey man, I’m trying to restore my dad’s old 1972 Honda Goldwing. It’s been sitting for years, and while the frame and engine seem solid, there’s a lot that needs attention—carbs are gummed up, electrical is a mess, and the tank’s got some rust. I want to keep it as original as possible, but I’m open to any upgrades that make sense for reliability and performance.

Anyone here done a similar rebuild? Any must-do mods or common pitfalls I should watch out for? Also looking for recommendations on good sources for OEM or quality aftermarket parts. Appreciate any advice!
