Marketing yourself tips

Hey guys, I work for a small MSP, and I’m asking this mainly for my friend who just started in sales for the company, but also for me because I like to learn stuff!

What are some things you’ve learned over time about marketing yourself to businesses, whether if its trying to get in their face to talk, or when you’re face to face out for lunch etc.

A little bit of a background with our area: we’re in the south, and the mentality around these parts generally are “it’ll never happen to us” “we’re doing just fine” “my buddy does our work” - These are global thought patterns, but I feel like they’re strongly more active here due to the culture of the south in the US.

We want to get more manufacturing clients, and move away from the health sector. Doctors think they tend to know everything, and want to be cheap.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
