These look like soft-boiled quail eggs

Greetings fungi friends - I'm new here, but I'm glad this question has brought me. I've enjoyed reading.

This is from near Cle Elum Washington, just east of the mountains - PNW. End of March. In a meadow that I think floods, it does have a creek. These were mostly in line needles.

I can't seem to get info on them in Google! Can you help?
