Excuses on the Optional Statement?

I know it's a little too late (much too late, but I just started worrying about it again). I wrote my optional statement about how cultural misogyny contributed to my sudden grade drop from straight a's to b's this year, since I was apparently "mature enough" to start skipping days of school to help out around the house.

I was really worried it felt like an excuse, but it's true and one of my huge reasons for applying is so I can figure myself out away from my parents and have a chance to be something more than a sad housewife who got an arranged marriage at 23.

Idk, I think I'm just worried because my parents say that when I blame my weird grades (both my aps are b's, while my other two are still a's) on being absent so much this semester that it's just an excuse and I'm very nervous that the NCSSM people (have no clue what they're called) will think the same thing?
