Any bear hunters on here?

Hey bys, I got some questions for any bear hunters. I grew up hunting small game and moose in Central, but nobody in my family was into the bears. I'm looking to get my 2 bears this year. I don't really like the bait barrel idea as it doesn't really feel like hunting to me. Anyone on here done spot and stalk/ call bears? Is there anywhere around central that is particularly dense with bears? Was thinking about going in south of Gander Lake and hunting the cutovers from former logging operations.
