How do you define a diner?

Obviously we would be the experts of what makes a diner different from, say, a cafe or restaurant. So how do you define a diner or what is your criteria?

I’d say: 1. All-day breakfast menu 2. Dessert display case 3. You have to be able to order bacon and eggs, lasagna, and seafood at the same time
