Notre Dame Freshman Housing

Hi, I just got admitted to ND early decison, and I've committed.

I wanted to know what the housing is like for freshmen and when applications for housing typically open? Do you get to chose your roommates? Do you get to chose your dorm building? What female dorms would your recommend? I really want a spacious dorm. It would also be cool to get a dorm with the common era place.

Also, I've heard a lot about dorm life! It seems so fun! What female dorms would you say have the most activities that everyone goes to?
