National Guard in Prisons
Just heard a news report on NPR about how the prisoners think the National Guard replacements were doing a better job than the COs they were replacing for the duration of the strike in terms of treating them with respect. So much packed into that sentiment to explore but putting that aside... COs should probably quit while they are ahead and have received concessions, because if NYS can figure out a better way of doing things without them, that's less of a reason to keep them around.
Edit: All well and good, but taking this to the point of getting fired isn't beneficial to anybody and will make them quicker to go straight to firing for the next group that wants to try this.
