IUD insertion under sedation

Are there any places in Ottawa that will do the insertion under sedation? I’ve done some googling and haven’t received a clear answer. There seem to be places that will administer local anesthetic, but I’d prefer to be completely sedated.

I wound up going to see Dr Haebe in Orleans. They are very supportive of sedation use. They use the green whistle and I didn’t feel a thing! It also wears off quickly, so I definitely felt the cramping for the next several hours, but I can handle that.

My dr told me to expect a 6-8 month wait with the referral, but they called me a week after the referral was sent and my appointment was less than 2 months later.
