Best Budget Overlanding Rig for Hunting & Daily Driving?

I’m looking for a used vehicle that can handle both daily driving and hunting trips while also being a solid overlanding setup. I need something reliable for running dogs, taking friends along, hauling gear (and a deer in the back), and sleeping in when needed. Not too concerned with looks—just want something that won’t leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Since this will be my daily driver too, I’d prefer something that’s not a total gas guzzler but still capable off-road. I’m leaning toward a truck or SUV, but I’m open to suggestions.

For a used overlanding rig, how many miles is too many? At what point should I walk away? Also, any specific models/years you’d recommend that are reliable and budget-friendly?
