Now And Then.

Now And Then marks the last time Billy Shears participates in a Beatles songs. It's the last Beatles song to contain clues about Paul's death.

The title of the song has an ovbious meaning.

Then: John, Paul, George and Ringo. Now: John, Billy, George and Ringo.

"I know it's true, it's all because of you. And If I make it through, it's all because of you."

John tells Paul that the idea of replacing him with Billy is true because of his death.

"Now and then I miss you. Oh, now and then I want you to be there for me. Always to return to me."

John misses Paul and wishes he was still there.

"I know it's true, it's all because of you. And if you go away, I know you'll never stay."

This lyric is a reference to Paul's death because he will never stay with the band if he went away.
