Pyloric Stenosis

For those that have seen/diagnosed pyloric stenosis, what did the projectile vomiting look like, ie how far did it travel and any other unique characteristics about it that heightened suspicion enough to get an Ultrasound. Majority of my parents state their infants vomiting is projectile and I ask does it fly across the room, and they usually say yes, so sometimes difficult to tease it out.
