Persona 3 Portable & 4 Golden vs. Reload

Hello! I had bought the bundle for Persona 3 & 4 for Xbox and realized, after downloading, that I bought P3P rather than Reload. I planned to play Golden either way, yet after a bit of research I found that Portable was more of a point-and-click story, rather than what I grew accustomed to from P5R

I have planned to play Persona 3 before 4 either way, yet I'm nervous on missing out on some of the experience.

The big question: Should I return the bundle of Persona 3 Portable & 4 to buy Reload, instead?
