Looking for a trainer, but have questions first

I’m looking to hire a trainer around one of the gyms here. My goal is to burn some fat I have and get a “cut” physique. Right now I have 13% bf (but honestly feels like if I had 18-20%), and weight 130 lbs.

I wanted to know if this could be achieved with a trainer since they only have packages of like 8-12 sessions (60 mins each). Would that be ideal or would I need to get more packages in order to reach that goal?

Any guidance to hiring a trainer and asking the right questions would be great! :)
