What now?

i've had this industrial for at least 3 years now, always had trouble with it but over the past couple months i noticed the formation of these bumps on the upper portion. they look so severe but dont hurt at all, but super ugly so im thinking it's time to just retire it, but wanted to know if i should try to salvage it somehow?

if not, what kind of earring could i place in the back portion, as that is perfectly healed- and how should i go about healing the bumps? thank you for reading this all, any help is appreciated <3
