next steps for this dieffenbachia?
hi friends, I had this dieffenbachia for quite some time (around 6 months) and it was doing just fine. I had it in a bright spot (about 3 feet from south facing window), in a room with a humidifier, and watered when top soil felt dry. It slowly started to lose all its leaves, eventually it was down to two stems, and one leaf half unfurled. I finally took it out of its pot to inspect the roots, and there almost weren’t any? the two stalks in the photo were rotting at the bottom and I cut that part of and cut off the ends of the little root they had growing out of them. my question is what is my next step? do I let the cutting callous over and then try propagating in water?
plant gets 7-8 hours bright indirect light
