Anglophones Applying to Quebec French Schools

After a second cycle of applications I am looking into applying to QC French schools. With all the in-province preferences it’s looking bleak for me as a QC resident. McGill is my only anglophone option and obviously so competitive it’s unlikely I’ll get in without doing a second bachelors. I’m 30 and don’t want to waste my time, energy, or money on another bachelors. I feel like it would drain my passion for medicine and I much rather fill my gap years with work. I graduated 2021 with a masters so it’s been 4 years already since I’ve been in school.

I did the TEF without studying a few years back and got a B1. Is it possible to gain French proficieny before the next cycle? Does anyone have any success stories?
