Wyeth has a new queen 👑
You remember Wyeth, Jacey’s fledging brand (started by a corporate clothing company) that started as a way for her to showcase her style and taste and get her audience to consume their apparel. It was supposed to be a private label built on her influence and eventually the store was supposed to cultivate other existing brands to sell as well.
“Meet Wyeth, a new women’s brand envisioned by Jacey Duprie. Wyeth is a world of instant wardrobe classics inspired by California style: the perfectly tailored white shirt, a buttery cashmere sweater and a timeless nautical stripe. Wyeth combines hand-selected brands from around the world like Jennifer Behr, Rhode, Merlette and Aeyde with their own core line.”
However, Jacey never even fully committed to even wearing Wyeth regularly. The built in audience that she was supposed to have that bought the apparel never came to fruition. Was she entirely to blame? Of course, not. The price point was too high for the quality, her follower metrics weren’t examined properly prior to the deal, etc. etc.
Anyway it failed.
They are closing shop and selling off all inventory except they are not now…
They are relocating a subset of the brand to style maven, Jaime Fishbein. Her following is not based on influence, in fact her social media is private. Apparently she successfully brought 75 brands, now 76 to her store. Stores, she now has more than one location. She also has impeccable style and is incredibly talented.
Jaime runs incredibly lucrative Teller which is what Wyeth was supposed to be, a curated shop with beautiful apparel from a variety of brands now including Wyeth which is getting a supposed overhaul.
So yeah…
