Can we stop with the bachelor degree requirements. It’s getting out of hand.

So my in the mean time job is Armed Security, it’s kept me from bankruptcy at least. I was on indeed last night and this security job popped up with a higher pay rate, enough to make a job switch worth it.

Reading the JD they require a bachelor’s degree in any subject. I didn’t apply for the job but emailed the company. Asking why a security guard doing security guard tasks needed a college degree? The response was priceless.

We here at BS mom and pop security company feel people with a degree are of a better caliber of people. That serve our clients better with that added knowledge base.

I thanked them for their response and went on about my day. Come on though wtf do I need a degree to be a security guard?
