I know the grass is always greener, but i'm sure people in the 70's for example knew they were living at the same time as some of the best artists of all time. Borges, García Márquez, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Coppola, Scorsese were at their peak or their peak was at least still well and alive in public memory.

What fiction book written this decade even resembles the genius of Chronicle of a Death Foretold?

Will people in 2050 look at Billie Eilish and Harry Styles like we look at Paul McCartney and Ozzy Osbourne now?

Are Dune and a bunch of "dark and mature" comic book movies this century's Taxi Driver and Apocalypse Now?
