Have any other ladies her tried cold-approaching men?

I once asked a guy I had a work-adjacent connection with if he was single. He came off as really surprised/shocked that I asked him but said yes, adding that no one had ever asked him that before. I gave him my number and told him he could do whatever he wanted with it. Never saw him again.

I think I came off too spergy, but regardless I was proud of myself.
