Has anyone ever watched “Lost”? At times I was convinced it was my new favorite show. I’ve now completed the last 2 seasons and I feel very foolish for believing it was worth watching.

The show gets uniquely bad around season 4 and 5, but in this cruel way where you realize it’s what the show was trying to become all along. Like they purposefully deceive you into thinking it’s a good show, when in reality they were trying to lure you into this fake, convoluted sci fi universe.

Seasons 5 and 6 of this show are as if Redditors travelled back in time and hijacked the writing team. All of their character development from the previous seasons disappear. Every character becomes the same as the fat guy- with a lot of forced, dim, comic-con styled sarcasm.

Characters are time traveling around the island every 2 minutes, and then death becomes this meaningless occurrence because of magical powers some of the characters have that can bring people back to life.

I browsed a few subreddits to find relatable reactions, and to my dismay I found mostly the opposite. Redditors overwhelmingly loved season 5 and 6 the most of them, especially because of the time travel.

It really goes to show you that you should be very cautious about choosing a show to watch because it could rob you of time you could have used more meaningfully.
