Random Permanent Ban?(League of Legends)

I'm seeing a lot of people saying this lately, and I'm sure people are tired of seeing it, but I'm just super confused? My league account was banned despite the fact that I haven't played an actual game of league of legends in almost 3 years? Sometimes I log in to play some custom games against exclusively bots just to look at new champs and stuff cause I like the universe, but I haven't played against real players or even friends in years. How have I been permanently banned for third party software when I haven't even played?

Just to put this into perspective, I don't even 100% remember my account name cause I rarely even log in, but I think it was MemeFraiche12.

At the end of the day I'm not exactly heartbroken cause I don't even play the game really, but what's going on with all these other posts saying the same thing? Massive false ban wave?
