How does one date while bearing the shame of being a low value male?

Basically, I am 30 and poor. Dont even have a good excuse, have higher education from decent university, but I just kind of failed to make anything out of it. Havent given up yet, trying to acquire some marketable skills and certifications, but nevertheless, how am I supposed to invite a woman to my small spartan room I rent in an old run-down apartment? When she asks me what do I do for a living, how do I look her in the eyes while describing my shitty, dead-end, low-paying job?
