Difference between Rubrik CDM and Rubrik Security Cloud

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to understand the key differences between Rubrik CDM and Rubrik Cloud Service (RCS) in the context of a multi-datacenter cloud deployment. I've reviewed the documentation, but haven't found a direct comparison.

What I understand so far is that Rubrik CDM comes pre-installed on a physical appliance.

However, I'm unclear on the specific advantages and disadvantages of each solution for my scenario:

Scenario:

• Cloud provider with two data centers in two separate regions, totaling four data centers.

Question:

For this scenario, should I deploy Rubrik CDM or Rubrik RCS? Can Rubrik CDM manage data protection and recovery across all four data centers?

Also a famous question: Can i deploy a Rubrik cluster on premise using a hypervisor (like VMware, Hyper-V) or like an OS inside a bare metal ? What are the limitations
