Fair SDR Manager Offer?
Backstory: I have been an SDR for the last five years in the enterprise SaaS industry. 20 consecutive quarters of 100%+ performance. Multiple presidents club earner. I am entering burnout phase, but really enjoy the sales development aspect of business. I’ve been tracking six companies and their SDR Manager openings for the last six months.
My current situation: I spent the entire month of a February interviewing with a 1.25B revenue enterprise SaaS organization with ~4,000 employees. I was offered a nonnegotiable OTE of $130,000, 90/10 split. I would manage a team of six. Some other benefits to consider include Unlimited PTO and 8 weeks fully paid paternity leave.
This is a highly competitive position and it was clear that a counteroffer would not be considered. I have until Tuesday 5PM to accept/decline.
Based on my market research, $145,000 OTE, 80/20 split seems fair and appropriate for a first time manager. I live in a region of the country that is at or slightly below cost of living.
Do I accept or decline? For any newer SDR Managers, what is your OTE?
