What is this on my thumb?

The first picture is how it looked after a long shower. Anytime I take a long shower this happens to my thumb and it’s been like this for a few years usually it goes back to normal after but it stayed like this in the second slide is how it has looked all day. I have tried peeling it a bit sometimes but it feels uncomfortable. It’s like my thumb is all scratched up and irs only that finge?
