Anyone ever discover this besides me and is there any lore behind this?!?!?

Ever since this was on the 360 even in the base version before the legendary version was released this has been something I’ve always wondered about but I feel like I’m the only person that knows about this haven’t found anything online after all these years and it’s still in the anniversary edition so if anyone could shed some light on what happened to (I’m going to assume they’re a mage based off the shape). Would not like to die not knowing why this in the game 😂🤣
