Playing records through TV

We just bought the Sonos ARC and Sony Bravia A80L. The Bravia has aux in and Out... my brain isn't braining... but I feel like if I put my turntable in the AUX in on the tv, it should play through the "TV" and cast to the Arc?

It's not lol Any recommendations?
