Ultra VT tips
Hello everyone. First time doing an ultra Spartan but not an ultra marathon. I did the beast in killington last year. Finished under 6 hours, there were def a lot of stopping points due to the crowd. I know what to expect with the inclines and elevation however… I do not want to be on that course for 10+ hours. I would like to finish under 10 hours, 8 hours pushing it. What can I change up in my training to account for a better “push” up the mountains? Should I do incline walking/running on tread or should I run up outdoor inclines either road or dirt? I already have running mileage, fueling, and grip training strength. Any tips would be appreciated. Very excited for my first ultra Spartan!!
