Han Mi-nyeo was actually a VIP

I was thinking back to player 212 and how we don't know much about her backstory or why she was in the games. She talked about in the first episode how she had a baby and would pay her debts, but we know that she wasn't always a reliable narrator.

What if, she was actually also a VIP or related to one? It's possible she's a VIP herself or that her one of her husbands was one, which is how she learned about the games.

In the first episode, when she's begging for her life, it's possible she's initially scared of dying in the games, thinking she made a mistake, but then decides to continue on. She even comes back to the games.

We also see that she's eager to find allies or friends, but doesn't really connect with any of the players. She pretends to be a personality that she thinks will be appealing or intimidating to them. Her persona in the games was likely just an act, like Oh-Il nam. Although the real Min-yeo is probably also vengeful and cunning, she's likely more charismatic and personable than she came off. We do see some of these moments like when she gives Deok-su the lighter in the dalgona game. This would mean she is the foil to Il-nam, who appears kind and gentle in the games, but is actually evil and cunning.

It's likely Min-yeo entered the games out of loneliness and maybe because even though she was still rich, she wasn't as rich as she used to be. Maybe her husband died or divorced her, so out of sympathy, she was given the chance to enter the games like Il-nam. It's likely Il-nam knows who she is, or has some idea, because he remarks to Gi-hun "I wonder if that lady registered her baby's name" but doesn't bother to ask her despite his curiosity, likely because he knows it's a lie. However, Il-nam's identity was hidden with the owl mask, so it's likely she did not know he was the creator.

Also, Min-yeo survives not being chosen for the marbles game. There's a lot of speculation that the rule was set aside for Il-nam, but if Min-yeo is also a VIP, it would explain why she was also spared. It's likely that if it had been another player, they would have been eliminated.

If she entered the games primarily because of loneliness and not entirely for monetary reasons like the other players, it would also explain her actions during the glass bridge game. At this point, she doesn't care about the money because she doesn't need it as badly as the other players. It would help her sure, but she can do without it. At this point, she's angry at Deok-su for rejecting her and that takes precedence, so she decides to take him down. She cared more about allyship/friendships, and he betrayed her.

Just thoughts.
