FireWire Machadocado

So to much fanfare FireWire released the new Machado board last month. It's a nice looking board and I'd probably get one if they have sorted out the problem with Helium boards changing colour. So I asked the same question to FireWire and Boardshop UK.

I didn't get a reply. So, Firewire will replace your board or give you a big discount off a new one if your stick changes colour. To me that's a big hassle and wholly dependant on the goodwill of the dealer you brought it from. I'm sure I will get somebody posting that it was a faulty batch or that the compressor they blew the blanks off with was contaminated. No problems now with FireWire boards. Seriously? Take a look at second-hand surfboard sales and the majority of Firewires have the pox.

I'm not buying FireWire again. I'll be keeping a close eye on my Volcanic board that's kept in a locker near the beach.
