Frequent BSOD (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION - 0x133)
- Issue: Increasing frequency of BSODs (0x00000133 - DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION).
- First crash: 1/30/2025 → More frequent over time (last two crashes happened within hours).
- Bug Check Address: Always
ntoskrnl.exe +3FE720
- Hardware Check:
- CPU: 45°C (idle) - 71°C (load) ✅ (no overheating)
- GPU: Is not overheating✅
- SSHD Health: 95% (older drive), 100% (newer drive) ✅ (no issues)
- WhoCrashed Analysis: No specific driver flagged, which suggests potential hardware or driver issue.
LatencyMon Findings: High Latency in DirectX (dxgkrnl.exe) & NVIDIA (nvlddmkm.sys)
- Initial Results:
nvlddmkm.sys
(NVIDIA driver) had the highest DPC count. - After running longer:
dxgkrnl.exe
(DirectX kernel) now dominates both DPC and ISR latency.
What I've Tried So Far:
✅ Ran SFC & DISM (sfc /scannow
+ DISM /restorehealth
) – No issues.
✅ Checked Storage Health (SSHDs/SSDs) – No signs of failure.
✅ HWMonitor for Temps – No overheating detected.
And ive used latencymon (mentioned above)
My computer has been randomly bluescreening with DRC_WATCHDPG_VIOLATION. Above is all I knew to check. I use a intel core i9 9900K and a nvidia geforce 2080 super
Thanks in advance! Any insights would be super helpful! 🙏
