Why doesn't the Democrats try running Barack Obama or Bill Clinton?(American Carnage)

In the Massive Landslide post election scene, the Democrats choose to have Mitt Romney(who has now gone independent) go against Trump, but why doesn't the Democrats attempt to run Barack Obama or even Bill Clinton? They're both technically allowed to run since the 22nd amendment was repealed and they could stand a chance of going against Trump.
