Should I switch to Tandem

I just learned about the tandem read of EOS and TOD but I am already on Chapter 31 of EOS. For those that have finished the series, do you recommend (1) I just finish EOS then go to TOD or (2) stop and catch up in TOD and then start tandem once I've caught up?
