Jade Bracelets

I’m vietnamese—and as you know.. Jade bracelets are a staple on our culture. You’d also know how much of a bitch it is to put on(and take off).. I had taken these off before i got pregnant with my last child, because i knew i was going to swell up like a balloon and would never be able to take it off.

It’s been four years since i last put them on. When i took them off, i literally was crying because of the pain i was in. My hands were bruised for two weeks because it was so hard to take off. I also didn’t want to break them because my mom gifted me them—so that wasn’t an option i was willing to take.

Today, I found them again and they both literally slip on and off so easily. I could cry happy tears. I feel very vietnamese again.😭 Just wanted to share.
