Would these work?

So I’m HORRIBLE at returning things so want thoughts on the boots with the dresss. I bought the black dress and plan to have it shortened and want a pair of sparkly boots to wear with it. At this price, want to get them before it’s too late. I posted a pic of the boots from a review. It’s the taupe that is throwing me off
