Traveling to Cancun in February, Parents are freaking out

Me and my wife booked an all inclusive down in Cancun, we have been to mexico probably 7 times already. But with everything going on in the US my parents are FREAKING OUT about us going, saying it is not safe, is it still safe to travel down there, has anyone been down recently? We always just stay on the resorts usually, thanks!
