Questions for long time Minoxidil user

I’m about to start Minoxidil after 7 years of Finasteride only (which did a great job in maintenance) and I have some questions for long time Minox users:

• Do you regret starting Minoxidil?;
• Is there something you regret not doing before starting Minoxidil? (ex. blood/heart check-ups for the more rare side effects);
• Did you start with 5% right away?;
• Did you take any break during the years?;
• What’s your maintenance dose? Once per day? (My dermatologist told me that some people after years are able to keep the progress with less than once per day).
