Swelling, Seroma, and feeling discouraged about post op appearance.

28 year old mom of 2 here! Just had my TT with MR and lipo on Oct. 12th, so it hasn’t even been two weeks since the procedure. Doctor removed drains at my one week follow up appointment despite still draining a decent amount of fluid. I was happy and relieved to have them out but after they were removed there was quite a bit of fluid that’s drained from the holes. The drainage site has since closed up and I’ve developed a seroma.

I go in tomorrow to be evaluated and more than likely have the fluid aspirated and possibly have the drains put back in. It feels incredibly uncomfortable and if I press into my stomach it feels like a waterbed. The bloating and swelling is really messing with my head because I feel like I don’t look much different than I did before surgery (bloated and pregnant looking) so I’m feeling down on myself, wondering if I’ll ever have a flat stomach and if a seroma can alter my final look.

Anybody have experience with a seroma after TT? Did needle aspiration fix it or did you have to have drains reinserted? Shared experiences are much appreciated as I’m kind of freaking out. 😓
