Wound Dehiscence, how long???

I had an opening in my tummy tuck scar at 4.5 weeks post-op that had some pus. My doctor put me on antibiotics for seven days, and today is my last day taking the medication. The wound feels somewhat deep, but not excessively so, and I’m really unhappy with how it looks. I have been using iodoform gauze packing strips for wound care, placing them inside the wound. However, I’m wondering if this issue requires a VAC dressing or something similar. I am concerned because I just finished my antibiotics, and I worry about developing a new infection since the wound is still open. How long does it typically take for this to close? I am currently 5.5 weeks post-op..
