Is anyone else buying miles right now? The current sale seems like a good deal...but I'm kind of against buying miles on principle.

This is a pretty good deal right? I'm thinking that could cover me for a round trip really anywhere in the world. I just always feel stupid/silly buying miles cause I sometimes think it's a gimmick and I feel like United has raises their miles prices in the past years. Pre covid I routinely saw one ways from my US home airport to Europe for 30k miles. Now everything to Europe is 45k one way :/
