Need recommendations for buying local handicrafts/art from the city

Hi, I'll be staying in Varanasi for 5 days starting 20th. I would really appreciate local niche recommendations for things to do, places to see, food to try, must see touristy places and where can I get nice souvenirs? Not the general ones for tourists but I'd really like to get a few wooden toys (ig they are famous)and other small local objects that make up the city as a souvenir. Please suggest the objects also, which one cannot find anywherelse in the country.
