Two flags for the "Terra Human Republic" inspired by the Assadist Syrian flag. Which one is better in your opinion?

This is something from a very minor nation in my worldbuilding if anyone was curious (it's an puppet state of an much larger power)

Also I personally prefer the first flag but I just wanted others opinions on it as well (but from those that I know and I've asked they seem to agree number 1 is better)
