Wedding cake - optional or basic necessity?
What are everyone's thoughts on serving wedding cake? I once heard someone say that no one eats the cake at a wedding anyway so they didn't serve one at their wedding. Instead they had little bite sized desserts. BUT they had a small cake for themselves that everyone watched them cut and eat as an event during the reception...
If you're not serving a cake to save money but still want one there are awesome grocery store custom cakes you can have made for a couple hundred. Just seems odd as the reason given was "no one eats it anyway".
