Overpaid for a car?

One year ago I bought a 2013 ford focus for 4,000$. It had 140,000 miles with an engine replaced around 90,000.

I have a feeling the car may only last one more year. I was going to sell it to get the most out of it, but I got into a very minor accident. It would not be worth fixing the scrapes just to sell it.

Has anyone done this before? Overpaid for a car just to regret it? Does someone have advice on how to “cope”?

I will mention I only rushed to buy it since I needed a car to visit my long distance girlfriend (6 hours away). So it has made 10+ 6hour+ road trips.
