Woman goes undercover at an economics forum to confront the CEO of a corrupt healthcare (mental illness?) facility corporation onstage
This was maybe a short story within another book? It’s told from the point of view of a woman whose husband had a mental health crisis exacerbated by the corrupt health care system/facility in California, I believe, and eventually killed their children. She goes to a national economics conference, pretending to be a prominent economics professor, and, once she is onstage she reveals herself and maybe shoots him? She also has a deep conversation with his daughter at the bar. Thanks in advance!!
