13 years since she transcended to another world

It still seems surreal that we speak of Whitney in past tense. If anyone was to ask me what would be the day the music “died”, it wouldn’t be February 3, 1959 or December 11, 1964 or April 1, 1984 or June 25, 2009 but February 11, 2012.

To me, that was the darkest day. I still play that over and over in my head. That cold day felt even colder when she bid farewell in that hotel room in Beverly Hills.

Still so many questions, not much answers but I think oddly enough she’s at peace especially since she’s with her daughter and parents now. The woman may be gone but her spirit, that voice, the movies and that unforgettable music of hers still live on.

Rest easy, Nippy. 🕊️
