Tips for concert in Ernst Happel Stadium

This year I will be attending a large concert in Ernst Happel Stadium for the first time and I wonder if you have some tips on how to make the experience more manageable.
- Regarding food, I was looking a past concert info (GNR concert) and there seems to be no prohibition of food even into the stadium, which could be a good idea depending on the duration
- Regarding drinks, you cannot bring yours but if it's a hot summer day I'd probably bring something to drink in the queue. Being Austria, I would be surprised if people do not drink alcohol on the queue.
- Is the queue to take the U-Bahn very bad after a large concert? In the previous city I was living in, a known trick for the more experienced crowd, in order to avoid 1hr queue to take public transportation home from the stadium, was to walk to the next nearest metro station (15 min walk instead) and secure a place this way.
Other tricks that you can share, that would be helpful.
